Platform Usage Policy

1. Introduction

This Platform Usage Policy ("Policy") sets standards for using News Studio operated by Xzect Labs Private Limited. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or termination without refund.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all users, workspaces, API clients, and automated agents accessing the Service. You are responsible for activity by team members and integrations you authorize.

3. Acceptable Use

Use the Service only for lawful professional news, media, marketing, and communications purposes consistent with your editorial standards and applicable regulations. You must have rights to all content you publish and respect audience expectations for accuracy and transparency.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not generate, schedule, or publish content that:

• Constitutes fake news, deliberate misinformation, or fabricated events presented as fact without clear satire/labeling;
• Spreads hate speech, violence incitement, or harassment against protected groups or individuals;
• Involves political manipulation, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or election misinformation intended to suppress voting or mislead electorates;
• Infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights;
• Is spam, phishing, pyramid schemes, or deceptive commercial solicitations;
• Distributes malware, exploits, or credential harvesting;
• Uses non-consensual deepfakes or synthetic media to deceive about identity or events;
• Promotes dangerous medical or financial misinformation where prohibited by law or platform policy;
• Is illegal in applicable jurisdictions (drugs, weapons, child exploitation, terrorism, etc.);
• Sexually exploits minors, depicts CSAM, or contains illegal child-related material (see Section 5);
• Impersonates persons, brands, or government entities without authorization or clear parody disclosure.

5. Child Safety

News Studio is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction). Account holders must meet contractual age requirements in our Terms of Service.

Zero tolerance: CSAM, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming, trafficking facilitation, or any illegal content involving children is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate termination, content preservation for investigation, and reporting to law enforcement, NCMEC or regional hotlines, and affected platforms.

You must not upload, generate, or publish content that harms minors or lacks required parental consent. You are solely responsible for compliance when minors appear in User Content (e.g., school sports, youth programs).

Report child safety concerns urgently to contact@newsstudio.io with "Child Safety" in the subject line.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Circumventing rate limits, quotas, or technical access controls;
• Unauthorized scraping, bulk harvesting, or credential stuffing;
• Sharing accounts or API keys outside your organization without permission;
• Using the Service to attack or probe third-party systems;
• Operating bot networks or fake engagement farms;
• Reselling access without written authorization;
• Interfering with other users or Service integrity;
• Submitting false abuse reports or fraudulent DMCA notices.

7. AI & Automation Rules

You must review AI-generated content before publication unless you accept full risk of Auto Mode as described in the Terms. Do not use automation to flood platforms, evade suspensions, or publish at volumes that violate Third-Party Platform limits.

Disclose sponsored or automated content where required by law or platform rules. Maintain human oversight for sensitive topics (health, finance, elections, crises).

8. Third-Party Platform Rules

You must comply with policies of Meta, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), WordPress, and any connected service. We may throttle or disable features that create compliance risk for us or our API access.

9. Trust & Safety

We operate trust & safety measures that may combine automated classifiers, AI safety filters, rate limits, and human moderation. These systems are imperfect and may fail to detect all harmful content or may flag legitimate content in error.

We reserve the right to monitor abuse indicators (reports, velocity spikes, malware links, integrity signals) and to remove, quarantine, or restrict harmful, illegal, or high-risk content or accounts without prior notice where permitted.

Audit logs and security records may be retained for investigations, compliance, and dispute resolution per our Privacy Policy.

10. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations using automated signals and manual review. Enforcement actions include warnings, feature limits, content removal, API key revocation, account suspension, permanent termination, and cooperation with law enforcement—with or without notice where permitted.

Repeated or egregious violations may be reported to platforms and authorities. No refunds for terminations due to Policy breaches.

11. Compliance

This Policy is designed to align with GDPR-style privacy expectations (via our Privacy Policy and DPA), payment gateway anti-fraud requirements, Meta and Google/API platform policies, international SaaS trust standards, and industry child-safety and content-moderation best practices. Your use must also comply with applicable journalism, election, advertising, and consumer protection laws.

12. Reporting Violations

Report abuse to contact@newsstudio.io with URLs, account identifiers, and description. We may not disclose investigation outcomes except as required by law.

13. Updates

We may update this Policy to reflect law, platform requirements, or product changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
